Thanks Tommy.
I think I will attempt to learn to play it, I mean how hard can it be. It has 2 more strings than a bass and they are spaced closer togther. :P

nothing wrong with that and sounds like a good uhh plan

not what i would do ( i would sell it and put the money 'wards equipment) but u have kids (I think, your "location" says dropping them off at the pool i know its a joke but i assume you have kids) and i dont so u and i think differnt, we have one thing in common P basses!!! (although i dont have one YET!)

dont go the the dark side...guitar (dramatic music)

or jedi whatever you think bass is (i guess bass would be the dark side cause its the low end)

dont leave us

Dude, I AM A BASS PLAYER PERIOD.
I love it, I love the thump, the boom, the feel. Guitarists can get some wicked tones and sounds, and all the spotlight, but I love the low end.

Personally, I would not even think of selling it or getting rid of it. Yeah it's not my thing, but I won it. It's like a gift, and to me it will have sentimental value.

No kids that I know of, thankfully. I am just a 36 year old big kid. And I love P-basses.

Tommygunn,

The expression, "Droppin off the kids at the pool" refers to taking a dump!!

Of course your parents probably don't want us furthering your education on these forums......
