I could have my dream bass if I had the testicular fortitude to jump on stage and snatch Steve Harris' bass from his hands and run like hell.

I tend toward the traditional in all guitars and I'm sure that would be my preference in a bass, too. For appearance, I like smooth lines, graceful shapes, honey bodies blending to a black edge with just a few contrasting touches. But it's not really all about looks, is it? It's the tone that pushes me to the P-bass.

Right now it is to just have one of my black MIM P-bass specials refinished in cream and add a cream/black/cream pickguard from Warmoth and leave my other black one alone with the b/w/b pickguard.
The Oreo brothers. I'd name them Bush and Obama

I like my red/white 2008 5-string AS P-bass, it would be perfect if it had pickup and bridge covers. Too bad I can't seem to find either for a 5-string. :(

My dream Fender would be a 51 RI but the custom shop wants my left testicle as down payment just because I'm left handed!! Out of my nine basses, my 94 P bass special is the one I play the most, even more than my custom fretless. I can get any tone I want with the added J bass PU at the bridge.
