Hi,
I've got a Chinese made Squire precision bass (California series) and I'd like to try straightening the neck with the truss rod. I was able to adjust the bridge without any difficulty using a metric set of wrenches but the truss rod seems to be between 4 and 5 mm. Is it 4.5, or should I be using a set of imperial wrenches? If so, I can order some and have them sent to me here in China.

This is actually a really good bass and it sounds wonderful, I just want to get the action a little lower like my Fender jazz bass that I had to leave at home in Canada.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the forums.

No pics = no bass

FWIW My Indonesian P-bass takes a 4mm. It's good to have assorted sizes(and textures and colors!) :D
