its the sunburst with the tort pickg with rosewood. here is the story.

well i used to take lessons at music store here in houston evans music city and a dude that works there , my old bass teacher, was talking to my grama and we needed my bass fixed so he said ill have someone fix it so he took it and went back he said i could look at the basses so we (me and granma) went into the bass room and she said well thats some pritty basses and asked me which i liked i went over to the american standerd sunburst and pointed and i said but it is expensave (with a look kinda like :( ) and we went on and he came back in saying he that we needed to follow him so we did. we came into a hallway and i told him that i had 306 dollars for a fretless and we talked about that and my grama asked (this is her exact words) "what if 'santa' wanted to help him get a new bass." and he said well thats tough and the talking went on. he asked what i wanted i told him i wanted a fretless precision but those are way too expensave that i only had enough for a mim (used) fretless and he said he dosent want me getting a jazz bass cause they get runied cause the humidity and i told him i knew that they talked on why a fretless is good and she gave him a look knowing she was most likely gunna get me a bass and she wanted to know exactily what to get and he looked at me and said do want to play the drums while we talk and knowing what he was tring to get at i said ok. so the rest is up to him and they talked for thirty minuts man. and when they where done they came out of the bass room and he had that look like that he just made a sale

ps she said santa as a joke i dont belive in santa

The new Fender American Jazz Basses Graphite Reinforced Maple necks are much less likely to have the problems your teacher might be used to seeing on older jazz basses.

Even with the thin nut width, the new Fender American Jazz Basses have very stable necks.

Either way, a brand new Fender American Precision Bass, with those classic super thick mids, will sound and play great :!: :!: :!: :!:

Here is an award winning article on your (so to be) P-Bass...
