N9421357, made in Corona, California. This is a number on a Precision bass. Can anyone tell me what year this is? It says it's an American Standard Precision Bass, 2000. Sound right? Thanks.

So it's a MIA Precision made in 1999-2000, correct?

I have a question. I don't have the P bass yet but considering it. Right now I play a Geddy jazz. I use the neck pick up and very seldom use the bridge pick up at all. How is a jazz, using only the neck pu, compared to a precision sound and tone wise? Thanks.
Btw, I play through a Fender Bassman 250/210.

I do not have a Fender J-bass, but I do have a Warwick Rockbass with J-bass pick-ups. Using only the neck pick-up and rolling the tone knob off IMO gives a P-bass type tone. Not exact, but somewhat passable.

Are you buying it? Have you bought it? What's the color configuration?

You know the rules, no pics=no bass. :D

Well I don't have it yet. I got it from a guy on Ebay. It's being shipped but w/ Thanksgiving this week I don't know if I'll have it by the weekend. I'll get some pics when I get it. It should be sunburst, white pg, and rosewood fretboard. I'm planning on putting a tort pg on it, hopefully. I'm not real keen on getting basses on Ebay but so far I've been lucky. I got a '92 Standard Jazz(MIM) and 3 Ibanez basses off of it so far and all have been in good shape. Wish me luck because I want a P bass really bad. Right now I have a Geddy Lee and a MIM Standard Jazz.
