Well I got the bass yesterday. For a 2000 it's in real good shape. I'm going to have to lower the action some but I think I'm taking it to the music shop here in town for a complete set up. I put some EB 2806 flats on it. The thing has some serious sustain. The shop might have some p/g's so I'll take a look at some...black or tort if they have them. I'll just let them put one on if they have one. They will have to loosen the pg to get to the truss rod anyway. I have a pic but it's not very good.

I'm planning on putting a mirror guard on my P-Bass, will I have to shield the new guard at all? Not sure if the original one is either. Help?

I shielded it but I can't get the old one off without unscrewing the pickups. I'm so bummed about this. I didn't want to do a lot to get the new PG on. Help?

You should be able to remove the pickguard without touching/bothering the pick-ups. What bass is this, year?

2008 American Standard P-Bass. When I was trying to lift off the old PG, it was getting hung up on the pickup height screws. I couldn't get it to shift enough to get it off. I used shielding paint over the entire control part.
