I have a 3 month old Highway one jazz bass I use in the studio. While recording today the bridge pickup just lost sound. I've checked all the wires and I have never heard of a pickup going bad but it's dead. The thing is like new and never gets banged around, has anyone had the same problem? We had a H1 Strat I had to solder a cap back to the pot that broke after shipping to me. Could it be the pot? I am ready to tell my Highway Ones to hit the highway! Any info would be a help. Thanks

I've never had this problem before but seeing as its only 3 months old, take it back to the shop you got it from as its still under warranty (assuming you bought it new in the first place )

It's probably an easy fix, a loose wire or solder somewhere, but with it only being 3 months old it's definately still under warranty.

Well, I opened it up and ran the neck pickup wires to the bridge pot and it worked fine so it was the pickup. I called Fender and they were great as usuall but I just bought a SD vintage and popped it in there. It actually sounds way better. I think I am done with the Highway Ones, 2 for 2 with problems I have never seen even in MIM Fender guitars. I have been playing for 38 years now and I have never seen a bad pickup. The winding on the pickup looked awful, it was loose and droopy. I think I will send it to Fender's pathology lab to see why it's dead.

Glad you found out the problem, but don't write off the Highway Ones just yet.
