What is it about tort pickguards that everybody loves.
This colour must go with anything, i've just bought a 57 reissue and a tort pickguard is looking favourite.
Dont get me wrong, black or white have their place, in fact i'm fitting my MIM Precision with a black plate tomorrow ( electron blue body ) but the 57 i bought tonight just doesnt look right with a white plate (jet harris would probably disagree ) but a white plate on a fiesta red body is not for me.
Anyone else think this way

Yeah Pino Palladino's red fiesta looks great with the tort pickguard. The maple neck on the reissue is great too. I bet it will look fantastic when done -- post pics if you don't mind!

Tort shell on vintage white is a classic '62 look, and it looks even better if it also has the chrome pickup guard and ash tray bridge cover. Call me a sucker for the vintage look.
