Brother Dave, I put one on the P Elite and I have to say it is quite comfortable. The bass came with Schaller lock buttons on it so I need to switch them out to standard to see how tight the strap fits. Based on the difficulty putting it over the Schaller's, I can see how you would not need a strap lock.

I appreciate the recommendation. Darn comfortable the couple hours I have had it on. The 4" seems to take some pressure off my neck, which sometimes causes my fingers to nap...so that is cool, too.

Stay tuned!

Steve

PS. I just put the chocolate Italia on the 74P fretless, which has standard buttons. Thought I was wrestling an alligator! But I won, only to find out I need to move it up a notch. Even with my girth, full length is just touch long.

I like the contrast with the natural finish, it is a nice match.

I was playing that bass tonight with a 2.5 strap when I saw your post, so I switched. Huge difference in comfort. I think I am going to be a fan.

Just saw one at a local guitar shop. He's asking $1600.

If it is near mint, with OHSC, also in excellent condition, it is on the high side, but not rediculous. These basses are having a moment in the sun - which I think is very cool.

If it is less than near mint.....not.
