Hi all. I'm new here, but love the site. I have a new (07) American Deluxe precision that I have to say I just love. I ha6 repairted Black (from the sunburst) and installed a Pearloid pickguard that I had Chandler make for it. When my Luthier assembled the bass we both noticed that the 2 9 volt batteries we in the cavity without any kind of securing device. Is this normal, or is it missing a battery holding case to keep them from rattling around? If anyone knows about this and have any info as to where I can get the part needed please respond. :? Thanks, Ken

My Stu Hamm sig (Series I short scale) was rattling. All I did was taped a piece of sponge around it. Voila, no more rattling. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

PS. show us pix of the bass.

+1, or put some foam in there.

It seems to me that when I bought the bass, there was a plastic double battery holding device in the battery cavity. I don't have a problem with using foam, it just seems like there was a factory holding device in there before. KEN

On my Stu Hamm, I didn't have a cavity, just taped to the body with the wire hanging - MIA btw. On my '87, 9v size cavity with foam around it.

The foam will work just fine! I've done that before.
