No, but check out page 2 of Klaus Blasquiz' The Fender Bass, and there's a nice monochrome shot of him playing it.
:)

I have one, save your money. It's a beautiful bass. The candy apple finish is beatiful, with the gold anodized pick guard, you can't help but buy one, but it's not the best PBass. Lots of bottom, but gives a card board sound. I've changed the pots and diode, replaced the pickups twice, with not much luck on the sound. I suspect it's the body. It's lighter in weight the a standard PBass, and it doesn't resonate the sound as it should. I've thought about repacing the body, but it's just to beautiful. It's a good back up bass.

I just sold mine on Ebay for 423.00. I hated that bass! Beautiful, yes, played good, yes, sound, crap! I replaced pickups, pots, strings, even ampifires and could not that thing to sound like an early Pbass. All bottom end, cardboard highs, dissapointing.

Since my original post here, I've done more research. There were 150 imported to the USA which is a figure that surely means the Duck Dunn Signature Series is one of the rarest Fender production basses ever.

Thanks Elwaupo for dredging up this ancient thread.

Yes Duck Dunn put a Jazz neck on a P-Bass but I don't think it had a J pup. As far as I know he only used it live at outdoor gigs for some reason. Otherwise it was the sunburst 58 until the Lakland deal. I think his Lakland has been discontinued since this thread started. I have the same photo which appears in the Duck Dunn book where one photo of him playing it outdoors appears. I don't take my "good" basses to outdoor gigs either.

This model is still in production. It was renamed as the 44-64 Custom since the HMI buyout in April 2010.

According to his Mr. Dunn's son:
Quote:
Over the last several years, Dunn mostly played this Lakland signature model. “It has his favorite Labella flatwounds and will remain exactly as is,” said Jeff Dunn. “He played it only hours before he passed; it was still in tune when we got it back from Japan, where he played his last show.”
This article covers the basses that he was famous for, including his 1958 Precision with its duck, Gort, and Blues Brothers stickers.

In his final years, he was also playing an Ampeg SVT VR and two 8x10 cabinets, both of which were auctioned off about two months ago.

If you don't have a copy of 'Soul Fingers' by Nick Rosaci, you should buy one! Chuck full of background history & rare photos + music.

Here's a video interview with Nick by Jon Liebman of 'For Bass Players Only'. They have Duck's real one-and-only 1958 Fender Precision on loan from Jeff Dunn.
