i dont get how people can buy and instrument online just because the like how the one at the store feels. ive never played 2 basses of the same make and had them feel the same. my p-bass is unique in its feel and so is my jazz. in my opinion, each bass has its one feel and qualities and they change with different instruments. there is just no way of knowing what your gonna get if you order offline. am i the only one that thinks this, cuz i see a ton of reviews where people thought it felt good, so they order it offline.

Couldn't agree with you more. I have a MIM that felt fantastic when I played it for the first time. Of course I bought it and still love it. Since then, I've played several P's and J's which sucked.

I think it's a big gamble to buy on line but, some people are luckier than others.

I would never buy a bass without playing it first. It's like buying a car without a test drive.

Some of us are not so lucky as to just be able to run out to the local music store so buying online is the only option. I just got into playing so I would not know a bad bass from a good one so there is that to consider as well. I figured I couldn't go wrong with a Fender as my first so it was a risk I was willing to take. More experience will probably teach me otherwise though. For now I will sit in the desert and play my newly formed, and greatly appreciated, habit.

You'll always hear from most of us on this site, get one that feels good to you, you'll understand once you pick up that special guitar and, it just fits.

Enjoy yourself!

it's ipossible to buy online because you have to get a feel for the bass before you buy it...or at least that's the way iut should go.

If only we lived in a perfect world. Yeah it would be great to be able to try a bunch of guitars to make our choice but, some of us don't have that luxury.

Eagle, I think you made good choices, if I were in your position, I'd have done the same thing.

I hope you enjoy your bass every time you play it, just remember, it's your thing, do what makes you happy.

Good luck!
