Hey Bassists,
I bought a real nice Fender P-Lyte back in 1990. Charcoal finish with the gold harware MIJ. Very nice bass and much lighter in weight than the std precision.
I've since moved onto guitar and use this thing mainly for recording or if I'm asked to play bass, which is occurring with more frequency. Do they make these anymore? I was considering putting it up for sale or trade for a std precision.
How much are these worth today?

As most MIJ from the '80s and '90s, they are going up in value, how much, I can't tell you. No they don't make those anymore. They are very nice too. I used to play one in the music store back in college, gold hardware, lace sensor pups, Lyte specific bridge. I loved it. I wish I can get my hands on one now. Ck ebay for similiar product to get pricing. Good luck.

Hi I would really like to purchase a p-lyte, I owned one years ago that I had bought at Ward Music in Vancouver for 800$ this was in 1992. Now I am seeing them sold for around 200-300 etc.. If you have one you can sell me that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The P-Bass Lyte has a special-design P/J pickup combo with solid covers and the Fender logo embossed on them.

Everyone can easily identify any pickup with solid covers as a Lace Sensor, which is very confusing.
