My brand new fender deluxe dimension five keeps draining the batteries. What is the likely cause? How can I test and or what is the fix?
Thank you

The fact that you ask this question kind of tells me that you don't own a multimeter and that you don't know how to chase down circuits and test components. Start with the jack. When your instrument cable is inserted into the jack it completes (closes) the circuit that turns the battery on. If you leave the cable plugged in the battery will of course drain. If the circuit doesn't open when the cable is removed the battery will drain. That is the quickest and easiest thing to check. If that's not it, you get to be a circuitry detective. Good Luck!
