yo ppl~

i'm new here, and i have a question...

i'm using a 1984 fender jazz bass special. its a black, made in japan fender bass that is basically a P bass body, with a J bass neck. it has a P pup at the neck, and a J pup at the bridge...

my situation is this... i wanna fix a pickguard for my bass... problem is this bass doesn't traditionally come with a pickguard... i've put it against a P pickguard i saw at a shop, and the neck hinge and pup position doesn't line up with my bass

i know there are a few different pickguard sizes for the P... i'm wondering if any1 here know that if any stock pickguard will fit a fender jazz bass special =(

Welcome to the forum, I have the Power version of that, with actives on it from factory - now with EMGs. You can have pickguards.com custom make your pg if you need btw. Call the 800 # and speak to someone, they can direct you on how to get this done. Good luck.
