If that's was what he said, I honestly don't remember. If it weren't for contractual agreements, I could seriously knock some doors down with who I moved, and was Head Roadie for. And a few temporary positions I held as well for others filling in as needed.

I'm sure you could have. Who in the hell was he, anyway? It's bad enough we're giving him any attention by talking about it. Anyway, it's too bad the Roger Waters bass is gone. That one was pretty cool. I wonder if when these artist basses are made, if they are meant for a limited number to be made, or for a certain amount of time? Maybe some sort of contractual thing? I'm sure he still plays P Basses, either way. I haven't really heard about him in at least a year or two. He did have that solo album that came out that had a really strong Pink Floyd vibe to it, but that one might have been out as far as 2016, I'm not sure. I'd have to check.

A lot, or a fair amount of PF sounded like Roger Waters. I have no clue how Fender does consider the longevity of any of their Artist Basses. I would guess in the Roger Waters Precision case, sales had dropped.

Yeah, he wrote a lot of their songs, so that would make sense that he'd sound like them to some degree, besides the other three adding their thing in. It must have been the case of sales for the Roger Waters bass, unless it's some sort of backlash with his stance about Israel and the Palestinians, which I suppose is possible. I don't know where Fender is with all of this types of political things, and I really don't want to look into it. I get enough of that crap on Facebook, with people I know on both sides on the spectrum. As I rule, I stay out of it.

Anyway, there have been certain instruments that have lasted longer than others, and nothing is set in stone, I suppose.

I never follow the politics of others. It keeps me out of trouble that way.

What was that old expression, speak softly, and carry a big stick?

That was it! The USS Battleship, Iowa BB-61, used that as their ships motto. Nine 16" guns were pretty damn big sticks.

Yeah, I'd certainly say so.

Those Iowa Class Battleships were a magnificent, and impending devastating monster. Depending on if you were a friend, or foe. Their 16" guns were able to fire a 2,700 pound projectile, 24 to 25 miles if I recall that correctly. Remember the USS Arizona, BB-39. And her 1,177 forever entombed in her.

I was able to tour the USS Iowa, BB-61 when she was in Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale in the early 1990's. A beautiful, magnificent ship. When a US Battleship group was sent anywhere in the world, It meant business. If for no other reason, for intimidation, and a total show of POWER! That now has been delegated to the US Super Carrier Groups. This is a real show, but only the God, and the commander of the US SSBN, or more that move in silence under the surface, in the areas of the US Super Carrier Group. An SSBN is a Nuclear Ballistic Submarine. The deadliest man made creation on the planet.

Yeah, it's ridiculous the destructive power these things have, and the total insanity of the concept of using them.

The WORLD IS DANGEROUS PLACE. If we don't have them, someone else would. And our SSBN's being there, if for no other reason then intimidation, they are worth having.
