Just in case you haven't seen this new video from Scott Devine. Very well done.

Thanks, Lucky. No, I'm done with that place that does more talking than playing bass. I'm not welcome there, so it is best I stay away. It's OK. You can always find me here where it is safe to love Fenders.

I quit going there a couple of years ago. I'd actually delete my account, but I don't think there is a way to do that. I guess I just couldn't get into that place. Never really could, although I have found some info here and there involving whatever gear I was looking up.

There is a little good to that place, but not much. The majority are a bunch of Fender hating wimps and snowflakes. Heavy emphasis on the flakes.

One light in the darkness is the Fender Rumble Club which I ran for several years before I stepped down after my second heart attack. It is the largest club of any kind on that site. Over 1,000 Rumble owning members; 1800+ pages containing 36,500+ posts, and nearly two million views. Much to the chagrin of the haters. I've been trolled relentlessly and my every post is moderated by numerous heavy handed Fender hating moderators. Yet some good has come out of it. There is a ton of good solid technical information available with a Fender Rumble Wiki page with links to help you find it, and a "Rumble Tone Pool" with member's favorite tone settings for the EQ challenged. The club has certainly influenced a lot of bass players to buy a Rumble, so in its own way the club has really sold a lot of Rumbles for Fender. Members come and go, but the club remains as strong & solid as the Fender Rumbles themselves. Rumble On!

Yes! Whiskey Wednesday is a must have celebration! And of course Happy Fender Friday lives on in perpetuity. I wish I had some cigars. Good ones.

I didn't know you had a heart attack. Sorry to hear about that. You know, I don't get that whole attitude, especially over something like musical equipment. I suppose it's some sort of snobbery and pissing contest, which I have noticed is prevalent there. "Look at me with my flavor of the month $6000 rig that I play bass diarrhea on (what I refer to as someone who rapidly slaps and pops on the bass to show off how many notes they can play per second, and no melodic sense to it YouTube videos, yet I couldn't write a song to save my own arse." The only people who give a crap about them are the same type of people that are trying to do the same thing, and most of the time they just wind up posting crap on that site, with said trolling, and not doing anything musical.

I'll admit, I've had a couple of lemons with Fender instruments over the years, but that can happen with anything, but I've never had a Fender amp sound like crap, or at least not able to get a decent tone out of them. I've had my Rumble 350 combo since January of 2012, gigged with it, recorded with it, and it's still kicking. When that amp came out, there wasn't anything else really around with the power it does have and features, with the price it had, which is why I got it. It is probably considered "obsolete" now with the new ones, but I still think it was a great amp for the time. The one thing that annoys me with Fender is they sometimes take too damned long to come out with stuff. I wish they would have put out the Rumble 800 head a few years ago, when I was talking about that around here, or a least a month before they did, because I definitely would have gotten one when I finally sold my Orange Terror Bass head and bought something else. But I guess that's just bad timing, and hopefully they'll stick around for a long time, since you never know what the future holds.

Been busy of sorts at work :!: the place I work went into administration back in mid May, so trying my best to keep my job going while waiting for a new owner.
Still love my Am.Std Precision just got other things to get sorted, & then can get back into all things Fender bass wise :D .

Yeah, sometimes life can get in the way of that sometimes.
