Yeah, I was looking at their site yesterday, and I did see that.

There's a few there to choose from.

I especially thought those blue ones were cool. I'm not sure if they still are making them, since I thought they were limited edition, even though they are still listed on the site.

Was it the Gibson Pelham Blue by chance?

They were called the Blue Royale series. They made those in that finish for a few different models, like the Jack Casady and the Allen Woody Rumblekat bass, and some guitars.

Yeah,... I think I know what that blue looks like. Nice darker blue.

It kind of reminds me of Ford engine block blue, from back in the day. Was that a spray paint color? It seems like my dad might have had that in the old garage when I was a kid.

Older Ford farm tractors were close to that shade of blue, if I remember correctly.

Maybe that's where it originated from.

It may have been. The blue was used on Ford tractors for a long time. Most of the different brand tractors had their signature color. The Ford uses the blue, International Harvester uses red, John Deere still uses green, etc.

There used to be (probably still is, but I haven't watched it in years) a TV show on the RFD network called "Classic Tractor Fever," or something like that, that was all about that stuff. It's like a serious hobby or a collector thing, like guitars for a lot of people. They even have like this big get together where the have them all on parade, and things like that. I imagine you have to have some land with enough barn or garage space to do that, and I'm sure it's not too cheap, either.

When I was a young kid, I'd get up to watch TV. There wasn't any cable, and the TV channels turned off at 12 - 1 AM. The first thing on TV, was the farm reports. And they showed the use of tractors, and equipment.

I'm old enough to remember the days before cable, and TV going off air. There was that test signal thing with the multi colors, and sometimes the Indian chief guy (I'm not sure if they always had him.) Then you had the local stations (not NBC or CBS, etc.) play stuff late at night, probably when cable started being a thing.

And it wasn't that unusual for stations to play The Star Spangled Banner at signing off the air for the day.

Oh yeah, there was that, as well. Now, it's infomercials, at least for broadcast channels, which I very rarely watch these days, unless it's PBS. Although a couple of them still might play regular TV shows, I suppose.
