I never knew about a lot of that. Speaking of Leslie West, I remember the last time I'd been to Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut (they have concert venues there, so I did just go for gambling,) there is a Hard Rock Cafe there, and they had some display case windows in the walls in the hallways outside of the entrance to it, and they had his Les Paul Junior (I think that was the model) displayed, beside some sort of stage outfits for somebody. Maybe him, or Felix, I don't remember. I just remember seeing the guitar. They had a bunch of stuff like that for different people displayed.

Hello, I definitely can't understand, why you go to Foxwoods Casino, when you always can try your luck, sitting at home. As for me it is really convenient. I can recommend you one online casino I also have bovegas casino bonus codes on this link. I already played there and you can also try, maybe you are lucky.

Since I have the Ampeg setup, I'm playing the Deluxe PJ Bass with the pup switch on the Precision position. It really is like having a Precision body, pup, and a Jazz neck.

That's definitely a great combination. 8) There's something about the sound of a Precision going through an Ampeg.

By the way, I wonder if that post above yours is some sort of bot that picked up on the word "casino," or "gambling," or it's an actual person? It's kind of creepy they just joined just to leave that comment and link. Seems like some sort of spam to me. I wasn't even talking about gambling, just seeing a concert and seeing the display.

I don't have a clue on the casino post.

But I think I'm sincerely learning to my amazement, Ampeg sounds good with just about bass playing through it.

Yeah, it does that. I suppose they are a classic for a reason. Sure, they might have had their bad moments, but then again, that's happened to a lot of brands, or companies. I think all and all, they've had more positives than negatives, and they've seemed to try and correct those errors. I'm willing to bet that with Yamaha at the controls, that will only get better.

I've noticed already they've done things with trying to get feedback from customers with surveys and things like that, so they must be at least paying attention. Besides, how often do you even hear about any major issues with Yamaha products, which they do make everything under the sun, besides guitars and basses.

Another thing that I do like about Ampeg is their look and design. It has a classic design that seems to go with any style of music. Let's face it, a large part of even an amp's appeal is it's design, just like a guitar, or whatever.

Ampeg on stage, is a very recognizable bass amp. It definitely stands out.

That's true. I suppose the one rare thing about them would be their guitar amps, as far as wide use, like the bass amps, but you can say the same thing about Marshall amps for bass use.

A lot, or most of the players using the Marshall bass amps were specially made up for the bass players. The regular Marshalls for guitar usage were mostly standard production amps.

Custom order, then I take it. Hiwatt did that as well.

Their production was so geared for regular guitar amps.

I suppose back in the day, there wasn't a tremendous amount of difference between the guitar and bass versions of Marshall amps, and a lot of it was considered "general purpose," or for both, and whatever else you wanted to plug into it.

True, there were some who used the Marshall 100 as a bass amp.

Jack Bruce did, unless he had the bass specific models.
