I just had to redo a couple of pics.

Now you got me wondering if they make a replacement pickguard for your Precision, if you feel inclined to do so. :P I think that they might, since that configuration isn't exactly rare, although maybe not from Fender themselves.

I'd have to look into that, but I like the color combination on it. Fender may make one.

Yeah, the white pickguard does look nice with the lighter shade finishes, I've noticed. Personally, I'm just not keen on them with sunburst or black, with sunburst being the least favorite combo with that. I just think it doesn't flow together as nicely, as the black or tort ones do, but that's just a personal preference.

One of the light PG finishes I like with darker colors is, White Pearloid.

Yeah, that one is pretty nice. Didn't that originally come with your GL Jazz?

The White Pearloid did come on the USA GL.

The Spl. Edition Deluxe PJ Precision is a really top player. Another nice MIM Fender that I think stacks up well with MIA Fenders. This one is tough to put down. And it doesn't look half bad either. I like it enough, and it's a keeper to have a Fender case for it. Image

You like it as much as the GL bass?

Pretty close, but then I've got to the point where all three are almost even.

The one thing great about that bass, is it would make a great work horse, if you were gigging. It's not uber expensive, than say a Rickenbacker or worse, an Alembic, (although, obviously not cheap like a Squier,) so it's not like it's a massive investment to worry about to take it out on the road, like then something that you'd want to keep at home, for the studio, and it sounds and plays killer, and looks like it can take a beating, too. That's at least the vibe I get from looking at it.

This huge-sounding hybrid needs a white pearloid pickguard to contrast the Jazz pair.

The White Pearloid PG would look fine on the Pearl finish of the PJ. We shall see. 8)

It's a very solid, well built bass. It's to the point with playing it, that if I were on the road playing one, I'd get another for the road, and keep this one for at home.
