They did 50s and 60s P-Basses but not a 70s fretless maple neck.

No leftys, but I think they will sell well anyway. That will leave the more expensive AVRIs to the Custom Shop and made to order for the customer rather than kept in stock unless a store orders one or more for open stock. I think that's a smart move. Sales will tell.

Fender should add a a 70s fretless maple neck P in the line to complement the block-inlaid J.

I'm liking my American Original 60's Precision in LPB. I've played Fender basses from 1976 till the present. I'm impressed with the build quality of this bass. I don't know if it's my big hands or what but this 9.5 radius neck is really comfortable to play on.
