y stripped my truss rod nut really bad, now it fixed with a homemade truss rod nut that i am very scared to use, it looks like its going to break in any moment so its time to buy a proper truss rod nut, but what kind of should i buy? the bullet style? or vintage style? also what size? and any info would be great

I would probably contact Fender first and foremost. Check it out here at the bottom of the page.
http://www.fender.com/support/contact_f ... ations.php

Also how long have you had this bass? Was it purchased new? Have you tried taking it back to the store you bought it from?

I suggest you take the instrument to a pro to fix it .Because if you damage the truss rod thread your bass neck is going to be expensive to fix . If not to replace .

already done that, but the luthier put his homemade truss rod nut and the neck is with too much relief, he did set it up but the relief is now too much and i really don feel like messing with this homemade truss rod nut

You had the guy do it already? Why didn't the luthier suggest that you bring it to a Fender dealer? It's a new instrument, even if the dealer reject the warranty, it would be better to get a new Fender part than some home made truss rod...is this the same mightier than thou luthier you spoke of on a diff't post? My suggestion, take it to a Fender authorized dealer, see what they can do for you. Good luck.

Why dont you take it back to the luthier to adjust the truss rod to your liking , he knows what he did before and in case something happens he will be able to fix it . Did you tried ordering the original truss rod nut ?

Check Stewart Mac Donald.com they sell lots of parts for fixing Fenders . The Fender dealer ,even if they dont have service, should at least sell you the parts . Search the internet there are lots of sites that sell Fender parts or replacement parts for Fenders . Try elderly.com , or allparts.com . Use the dealer finder link above and look for a dealer that has service and give them a call , they should be able to help you get the part you need .

Dude, he's not in the US. Check the resource here to look for a dealer if available in Peru.
