Hi there, I'm changing the look of my MIM Precision and want black rather than chrome knobs. Bit confused as to which ones to get. My knobs are screw in ones. Any links would be appreciated.
many thanks
Neil

Fender part number 0058457000 is the black Fender Precision Bass knob for a solid shaft CTS sourced pot used on contemporary MIM P-Bass models. This is the exact knob used on the MIM Roger Waters model. You can use that part number to get a couple from a Fender parts dealer. They are sold as a single knob so you will need two. It is always best to support your local Fender dealer when you can. But if you can not get one locally you can find them online. For example Darren Riley stocks them and you can order them online from him using this link: http://darrenriley.com/store/fender-knurled-0058457000/ I have done business with him before and will again.

Look again ST52. Your link is for Fender knobs and none of them are the black knobs he needs with a set screw for a P-Bass with solid shaft pots. The link LJK posted are generic barrel knobs, probably distributed by Allparts and likely Asian made. The one on LJK's link titled BLACK FLAT-TOP BARREL KNOBS would work and are close to a Fender knob, but are not genuine Fender parts. To some people having all Fender parts on a Fender instrument is of no importance at all, while to others it is important. Different strokes.

BrotherDave, thanks so much for the Darren Riley link, I had no idea there were authentic Fender barrels done in black. Those are great! Now to find a project to use them for!
:P
