Not sure why Fender doesn't add the weight of their instruments to their spec section, because this is the most asked question I get when I try to sell basses and guitars. Unfortunately, I don't have a scale to use.

So, does anyone know the weight of an American Standard V string? I'm looking for 2013 - 2015.

Thanks

Maybe Fender does not want to create a precedent and that its stores are stuck with unsold, heavy models.

Weight is not the only thing on sound .
Fender do not tell specs on pickups , impedance , inductance...

Every bass is an individual and wood density also varies, so the weight of each bass is different, but most Fender basses are 9 -11 pounds. You need to buy yourself an accurate scale.

Most of the Sunburst Precision 5s in that American Standard series have alder bodies so they are closer to 9 pounds but they do vary in weight for each bass. The solid colors may use ash and be heavier but I don't really know.

The reset of the specs are hum-bucking Hi Z pickup with passive electronics. Maple and rosewood necks with rolled edges and graphite rod reinforcement.
It really a great bass. I am reminded to play mine this week.
