They would have to - the differences between the Deluxe and Elite are immaterial.

The Elites employ a full-rounded neck heel and a spoke-wheel truss-rod.

I had hoped a throwback to the old 22-fret designs with no avail; it seems that Fender decided to standardize the Elites in the same way as the Deluxes to save money. This is a clear sign the Californian giant wanted to get rid of the George Blanda-era design features and follow a new direction.

The Elite basses feature a newly designed 18 volt pre-amp. They also have a 9 1/2" -to- 12" compound radius like the American Deluxe Dimension bass does now. The Elite guitars also have a modern C-to-D neck shape which is said to vastly improve comfort & playability. Pricing is in the $17-1800.00 range which is similar to an American Design Experience special order.

None of the videos that I've seen feature the Elite basses at all. I did hear a passing mention that they won't be ready until April.

It seems from what I've seen that they've been focusing on the Strats and Teles with this line, so far. Kind of reminds me of Gibson to where they like to ignore the bass player. :P

I don't think so. It's just the fact that they're just not ready yet. Perhaps they will be the stars of the show at Summer NAMM in Nashville.

I just got one last week. It's a very nice implementation the N3 pickup is much improved. The compound radius helps more than i though. Very comfortable to play, and responsive. Pre-amp is great!

Go try one out, I think all the changes have improved the Bass and it will be a winner for Fender.

I bought one of these yesterday (tobacco burst) from guitar center. Although I have many other basses, the new Elite Precision has many nice features and it is very easy to dial in awesome tones. I especially like the back of the neck has a very light finish and C to D compound radius feels good.
Several other musicians commented on the great sound of this bass while I was test driving.
Can't wait to play this out!
