I took the Fender factory tour in Corona, CA last month. The tour guide showed me this and I almost bought it on the spot. He said it was a new model. The only thing I know about it is that its an American-made Jaguar. I've searched for information online, but haven't found anything.

Thanks for the info! I guess it was a Mustang, not a Jaguar. I don't know if I can wait until Dec. 1 to get one of these. I should have bought it at the factory. Although I didn't know the price and it may have thrown my vacation budget out of wack.

I am kinda digging it...of course I do love me some P90's. Was it a full scale or short like a mustang?

I think it's going to be short scale like a regular Mustang. There were some specs up on all the "10 for '15" models back in a NAMM show review, but Fender's only revealing the full specs on these when they are released.

This one will be for December, so I suppose we'll have to wait a bit longer for the full scoop.

I think you are right about the scale, it looks like the bridge is set forward on the body but could just be a visual thing of the smaller body.

Hope it doesn't take till December to see this thing on the street.

It's short scale. The tour guide at the factory said he did not like that about it. I gotta tell you - it looks amazing in person!

I am curious about this though. When I told the tour guide I loved it, he said I could buy it right there at the factory. Since these aren't being released until December, I'm wondering if I could have taken possession of it right then and there in July. If so, I'm kicking myself for not taking him up on the offer.

It seems like these hit the street a little bit before their "official" release dates, but not by much so maybe we'll see them around Thanksgiving. That being said they are the last "10 for '15" model and are slated for December.

After waiting for months, I finally got the Shortboard Mustang today. It is beautiful! This is the first shortscale guitar I've ever had, so it took a few seconds to get used to it. The pickups sound amazing! I was torn between this and the Longboard Strat. Glad I got this one.
