Hey Guys,
PRS's are very nice guitars. Exotic woods, nice finishes, sweet sounding pickups and good quality construction. Unfortunately, they're as expensive as hell. My cousin has one and I've played a few in the stores. They sound good, but there's nothing remarkable or inspiring in these guitars for me.
Cosmetic appearances do not make your sound. I'll grab an old beat up Strat or Tele and leave that PRS in the damn case. Nice guitar, but not for me... even though I am a Santana fan.

I tried a few models out a couple of years ago. The ungodly expensive American made ones are great. The affordable Korean made SE models felt like cheap toys to me.

That's exactly how I felt! I thought it was gonna break in my hands, not fragile, just cheap. If I had one of those I'd have to gig with two backups lol.

I own a PRS, 24 fret, bolt on neck, naked dragon 2 pickups, wammy bar in basic black & bound in blond, it's one of my best guit's, the only problem I had was with the locking tuners which I replaced with grovers
sparky

PRS never tickled my fancy. The higher end models have a nice top to them, but still way out of my price range. The lower end models (Korean made) just felt real cheap to me. I was also never a fan of the overall appearance (shape) of PRS guitars.

Superb craftsmanship and their low profile body shape make it an extremely comfortable guitar to play. The prices can be a bit much on their carved top guitars but their lower end SE line offers great PRS guitars at a price that may better suit your lifestyle (if your ok with sacrificing the carved top). I'm looking to buy one myself

Like everyone else has said, the price is ridiculous but if you can afford them, they are great guitars. I love their high end semi-hollows and the carved tops are extremely comfortable. The craftsmanship and electronics are amazing as well. I'd have to say my favorite is the new Mira though. It's a no BS guitar that just seemed to match me well. Just play them and see if they fit you.

I have the PRS single cut SE. It doesn't feel like a cheap toy, or fragile! It's a great guitar with a deep and clear sound. I don't much care for flamed tops but I don't care how it looks like at all anyway. The controls are very responsive and the 25" scale length of the neck gives a good combination of sparkle and depth. Also I am neither a chonch, or hillbilly.
I still like my strat and jazzmaster better!

If they sound good then why wouldn't they be worth the money. Isn't tone the only thing that really matters?

...Just wondering, why should a PRS feel like a fender... And since when does feeling like a Rickenbacker make something worthless? PRS makes great high end guitars. If you don't think they're worth the price tag then don't buy one. But that hardly makes them bad guitars. If every guitar looked and felt and sounded like a fender, life would be much more boring.
