Hi guys,

Have recently bought a Coronado reissue. Out of the box the string height seems to be a little high towards the body end of the guitar, espeically on the treble side. I went to adjust the bridge but realized there aren't any screws to adjust the height of it. Ive now realized this is a 'pinned' adjusto-o-matic that dosen't seem very 'adjusto'able. Does anyone know how to move this thing?

Is this one what you got: Modern Player Coronado ?

The Adjusto-Matic™ in the link doesn't seem in any way special, so the height adjustment is done by turning those discs on bridge posts; the whole bridge installation goes up or down.
You tilt the bridge, so the lowE and the highE are at their optimal height, but the strings between are not separately adjustable.
Usually that is enough; in rare cases (problem guitar or demanding player) the saddles need a little dremeling & such.

Oh right, so I actually turn the discs rather than a screw? Never had that on a guitar before, my bad.

There are many variants of Tune-O-Matic (Gibson) and Adjust-O-Matic (Gretsch/Fender) bridges, most have the flathead screw slot on top but all don't.
But, in all the slotted ones I've taken apart, the thumbwheel and the screw are the same piece, so you turn the thumbwheel and the screw moves & vice versa.

A screwdriver can easily scratch the guitar or the bridge. Using the thumbwheel won't, and also guarantees you don't use excessive force. Oh, remember to loosen the strings before you adjust the action - and adjust the relief (truss rod) before action.

Out of the box , the guitar may need a complete set up , First , check the neck bow ,

See a qualified luthier if you don't know how to do a good set up .

Due to weather ,neck may move from the way from Fender Plant to your home , not the bridge

had one on an explorer. would run the action right to the point of bussing, but not quite, as the sweat poured and the bar got up to 120 degrees I could hear the buss coming ,reach down and adjust it up in the middle of a set
