Hi Guys,
I've seen this guitar offered for sale but it's not on Fender's website. Can anyone shed any light on why this would be?

Also, has anyone had a chance to play one?

Here's one (google gives some more): ClassicSeries60 Jag GuitarCenter

Seems to be made to sort-of-vintage specs. The nitro finish is a nice feature.
But, the tremolo has no lock button - so the Classic Player Series Jag might be an option (Poly/PU finish, 9.5" radius, hotter pups, Adjust-O-Matic bridge. locking trem) at about $200 cheaper.

I meant why is the Classic '60s Jag not on Fender's website? Finding it on vendor's sites like Chicago Music Exchange isn't a problem. Lord only knows when we'll get it here in NZ.

I've had a chance to play the Classic Player Jag. To me, it's missing some of that 'Jaguar-ness.' When Fender moved the vibrato closer to the bridge to increase the break angle, they changed the way the strings vibrate between the bridge and vibrato, thus changing the way the guitar sounds. Not my cup of tea, mate.

Just picked up the 60's Jazzmaster in laquer. Probably very similar to the 60's Jaguar. Same situation in that it appears on various retail sites but not on Fender's site. Really nice fit & finish.... great setup right out of the box.

Um, I looked for one of these a while back, and
found it on Fender's site. THEN when shopping for price.

It's there. http://www.fender.com/search?q=CLASSIC+ ... qSubmit=Go

So is the Classic 60s Jazzmaster. http://www.fender.com/search?q=classic+ ... esearch=Go
