Or DIY:
Measure those pickups & mounting rings ( Fender Wide Range Dimensions )
Then decide if you want to have regular size pickups with suitable mounting rings, or new wide range size pickups with the present mounting rings.
At least Lollar, Fralin, MojoTone, Creamery make WRH sized pups.

And here's some light reading before you start: Wiring Upgrade MP Starcaster

Am assuming you are referring to the nice Fender Starcaster rather than the starterpack Starcaster. Would go with the Lollartrons.

I'm assuming that you haven't ever played a so-called "starter pack Starcaster", because you're perpetuating an untrue stereotype of Chinese-made guitars being sub-par. Don't buy into that sort of delusional propaganda. I have nothing but good things to say about Chinese guitars.

The Fender Starcaster is more of a Gretch type guitar whereas the starter pack Squier Starcaster is more of a low budget Strat - totally different guitars. No stereotype involved. I have a Chinese Stagemaster and wouldn't part with it.

Recommending Lollartrons was based on the assumption that the OP was referring to the Fender Starcaster because those pickups go well with hollow and semi-hollow bodied guitars. If you are the proud owner of a starterpack Starcaster and are happy with it then all is good. Most play pretty decent after a proper setup.

No need to assume; if it's a Modern Player Starcaster it's this one - the color may of course vary

Like it! Played one at Guitar Center and was nice. Was thinking that it did need better pickups though. Lollartrons are handwound copies of the pickups used on the Gretsch Country Gentleman. They came to mind while I was playing the Starcaster.
