I must be getting old. I can't find any specifications on the Fender Adjusto-Matic™ bridge when I search the Fender Support area. I can't find any specifications on the Fender Adjusto-Matic™ bridge when I search using Google, Yahoo, Webcrawler, Bing, Dogpile or any other reputable search engine. And as far as I can tell I cannot purchase a Fender Adjusto-Matic™ at any of Fender Dealers nor a third party replacement. And despite this Fender sells 21 guitar models with this bridge. I own two of these, the Classic Player Jaguar Special and the "American" Special Mustang.

It eludes me how this is a marketing strategy. It eludes me that there is no after market. It eludes me why Fender doesn't support this product with anything except the following spec for the 21 guitar models that have the bridge: Bridge: Adjusto-Matic™ Bridge with. . .

Please, someone, explain. Thank you.

Try going forward on Gotoh or Gretsch bridges.
I believe Fender's bridges are 'AdjustoMatic' because 'TuneOMatic' belongs to "a company outside FMIC who shall not be named"
But in adjusting, same principles apply.

Anyway, if you need to replace your bridge, you have to measure what you got. Pole distance, pole size, string spread, radius etc.

jmattis, thanks for the thought. I have been around the horn on third party vendors. No one (except the Masterybridge) comes out and even mentions compatibility with this bridge. (Mastery mentions it but you gotta bore new holes in your axe, hardly 'compatible').

So, to get past the 'somewhat insufficient' ( ) info Fender gives, what is the problem you have with your present bridge(s)?

I have received a Staytrem Bridge for my Jaguarillo. It was very easy to install. Pic is not mine:

The Staytrem looks promising, thanks. The issue is with the intonation on the American Special Mustang I purchased from Sweetwater. It came with 10's which I have replaced with 11's. The low E saddle is as far back as possible and fingering on the twelfth fret is still sharp to first harmonic. The opposite is true the the high E. All the way forward and still flat to the harmonic. This is not an issue with the Classic Player Jaguar Special which also came with 10's and uses the same bridge. Some TOM replacements offer adjustable post slots. That's what I was hoping for.

Granted, there maybe no drop in answer for this, and yeah I should probably check out other copies of this guitar to see if it's systemic. But, wouldn't documentation be nice to start with?

I really appreciate the feedback. Wasn't expecting this kind of frustration with an American made Fender product.

Sounds peculiar.
The "usual suspects" would be that either the bridge or the neck is on crooked...
Shimming probably won't help (since they go outta adjustment range from both end limits) and apparently the saddles of that AM-bridge are symmetrical so turning them 180 degrees isn't an option (old TOM-bridge trick is to turn the saddles if necessary, since they are angled).

Troubleshooting: Was it OK with the .010 set? Have you measured the scale (= free string) lengths? Does the bridge sit right on the posts?
