Hi - I just came into possession of a USA Highway 1 Showmaster - I took it on trade off some gear I was selling.

I don't know much about them and would love some input. I'm lookig to sell it, wonder what a good price would be?

It sounds amazing and plays really nice, I'd give it a 8.5/10 condition (only 1 small dent on the bottom of the lower horn).

Typing "showmaster" to the forum search (all forums option) gives you 22 pages light evening reading from many members savvier than me, so I won't pay attention to the Showmaster model characteristics...

On the price... Sadly, these aren't very wanted guitars, the superstrat clientele is all hooked up on other brands  So, selling on ebay (&such) would probably result in about $400 if you're lucky... And IMHO, that's almost insulting (just about the price of the parts).
If you can, just wait; keep it and get to know it - they're very versatile, and very different from say a HSS Stratocaster.
I've been noticing some an upswing in the prices of Hway1 Strats and Teles, so who knows.

+1

There's one of the main reasons Fender discontinued the Showmasters in 2009.

 wow, love that Showmaster :)

Interesting to note that it has the cheaper Ping Floyd Rose Original... I would've though they would have used the original Floyd Rose setup

There's a teambuilt one-off Showmaster sporting the genuine original Floyd: lightweight ash body, amber finish, abalone-inlaid rosewood fretboard.

This model was a special-edition run dating from circa 2008; I have no idea about how many pieces were made.

John Cruz did this twin-humbucker Showmaster for the 2008 Tokyo Guitar Show, sporting the genuine original Floyd, an abalone-inlaid maple neck and a pair of Enforcer humbuckers. Other features included a stunning AAA flame maple top finished in honey sunburst.
