Hey all,

My wife recently showed me a picture of an old guitar that someone she knew wanted to sell. He claimed it was it was an old Mustang, but from the picture I can tell that it isn't. I'm not even sure if it is a fender (notice the lack of a logo on the headstock). Anyone have a clue what it is? Here is a link to a picture of it (would of posted it here, but it is a pretty big pic).

Yes, I kind of feel that it may be a Fender copy, but my inquisitive side wants to try to figure out what it might be.

The body doesn't even look like any Fender I have ever seen before.

It's probably a Teisco--just do a search for "Teisco" or "Teisco guitars"
It could also be a Guyatone or something like that.

But if you do a search for Teisco, you'll probably uncover Guyatones, etc.

I am more than certain that that is a kingston guitar, however I do not know the model of it. If you search on ebay you might find one like it.

It is most likley a Teisco or something like that, an early japanese guitar that was modeled off fenders but not a direct copy. These come up on ebay all the time and are not worth a lot of cash however sometimes they play really well and are good for trashy 60's sounds. They where made as cheap guitars in there day.

hope this helps

With my 12 year old intellegence. I can tell you thats not a mustang. Its most likely that the seller has a kay no name ( look at guitar three rows down on the far right)
