Hi everyone,

I just got a brand new American Vintage 1962 Jazzmaster from the Custom Shop.... It's awesome, I'm totally happy (have played a Strat and Gibsons my whole life - always wanted a Jazzmaster)

BUT.... strumming it right out of the box I notice the buzz from the bridge... I've read about the Buzzstop solution.

Is this the way to go?

Thanks for any insight.

-Mike

I have the '62 reissue jaguar. At first, the buzz really bothered me. However, I have now actually grown fond of it and wouldn't even think about altering mine. To tell the truth, I believe the buzzing on mine has kind of died down some - I don't know it is because of dust or what getting down in the bridge grooves - but to me it gives my guitar character. "Flaws" are what make something truly unique in a world where mostly everything is manufactured to be exactly the same (not saying that the buzz is a flaw but you catch my drift).

I've got a few Jazzmasters and I have added the Buzztop and mustang saddles. After I put them on I found I was getting less string breakage and a better tone. I would reccomend it.
