hey all. i recently acquired a 1976 fender musicmaster. i was wondering if anyone could tell me what one is worth? i received it through a trade, me trading my MIM fender jaguar HH for it + adding $150. was i ripped off? the musicmaster is all original besides the bridge at some point down the line being replaced w/ a dimarzio bridge. thanks all.

cheers.

Hard to appraise over a forum without knowing the condition and authenticating how much of it is original and the finish etc. Those are not very sought after and hence not very collectible so it won't demand the dollars of a Strat or Tele from the era. However off the cuff if it is in decent original shape with original case would be $600-$800 at best of course depending on what someone is willing to pay. If it is in mint original condition and rare finish I would hold onto it a few more years and it could approach the $1000 range.

If it is mostly original as you state it seems like you did not do too bad on the trade. How does it play and sound? That also counts.
