Top one is a 1965 that my dad bought new and I recently acquired.

Bottom one is a 2003 I bought a few weeks ago so that I don't play the '65 too much.

Wow, beautiful Jags, man! Thanks for sharing those...although they're only fueling my JagGAS.

What color is the 2003, is that a yellowed olympic white? And I love that '60s sunburst with the vivid colors.

+1!

A tragedy that good-looking tortoise-shell is no longer the norm.

:(

According to the shop I bought it from, it's olympic white. I've only had it a few weeks. it's pretty yellowed for an 11 year old guitar, but I think it looks cool.

Looking at the pics, the finish on the sunburst actually looks a little flat, but I'm not going to do anything about it. This guitar was my dad's that he bought new.

I don't know. I like the look of the '03 guard more. the '65 stays as is though.

And a tragedy that they don't make those sunbursts anymore. I can't imagine what Fender was thinking when they changed them to shades of brown. :( JMO, YMMV. *End of mini-rant.*
