Figured I'd just dig in

I have a SD JB laying around, although it might be a little too hot. Thinking I'm going to get a Railhammer hyper vintage instead and see how it works out.

Some pics of my prepwork below.

For those that are curious.. it's really easy to do. If you look at the above picture on the switch, I replaced the red with red and white from my JB, and the brown with the black on the JB. Slapped on a new set of cobalts (9-42) and away I went.

Holy crap does this thing sing!!! The JB made such a huge difference in how this thing sounds. Position #3 might be the best lead sound I've ever heard when the guitar was in my hands!! It's full, and loud, but doesn't have the "edge/crunch" position #5 has. So good.

If my wiring is right:
Position 5 is the JB
Position 4 is the JB Split (almost no sound difference, I'll have to double check my soldering)
Position 3 is the JB with the Jazzmaster
Position 2 is JB Split with the Jazzmaster (huge sound difference from #3.. which makes me think my wiring isnt botched)
Position 1 is the Jazzmaster

Really nice job! I have been contemplating replacing the triplebucker and from the looks of what you did it looks pretty simple.

Amazing job mate! I'm going to do the same thing on my Marauder, really don't like the Triplebucker so much and i'm going to replace it with a Seymour SH6-b.
Regarding it, how do you solve with the split position on the humbucker (the 2° i suppose, beucase you start counting from the bridge?)?
