I have a friend I re-connected with from my childhood who started me playing guitar in the early 60 's..I am now 65...I asked him if he still had his 1965 sunburst Jazzmaster..He sold it 10 years ago to a friend for $400...The friend in turn sold it for $500..He also had a 65 dual reverb amp. He said his brother borrowed it some years back and somehow blew out the speakers..I just thought it interesting what he sold the Fender for..

How much would a 65 Jazzmaster be worth today? Obviously not $400... Just curious.

You are not alone. Facebook's pages are filled with similar tragic tales of human woe and deprivation. I think all musicians regret letting a beloved piece of gear get away from them at some point.
