Why doesn't Fender acknowledge the Fender Showmaster series? You can't find any information on their website, you can't register it. It's as if it doesn't exist!

I know it does exist, because I own one... It's one of my favorite guitars...

Any others out there in th same dilemma?

hi acoustic356, I'll acknowledge them!!

If it's not a current model, it's not going to be one the website.
Not sure why you can't register it.
Are you looking for anything in particular? My recollection is that there are a few different Showmasters.......mainly were in the Custom line (again, as i recall).

All the best,
rob

Showmasters started life as Custom Shop models before becoming regular production guitars in 2003.

Production moved overseas in 2005. Fender discontinued the series in 2009.

I found this Fender Showmaster (made in Korea) one day when I walked into Music-Go-Round. It was just hanging there and I was very intrigued with the styling, the pickups, the hardware, the locking tuners, the solid mahogany body and the 24-fret set neck. I paid a whopping $285 for it and it will be a permanent part of the Fender collection.

That is just beautiful in its simplicity. Stunning.

I wish there were more models like that in the mid-range price segment too, not just the very cheapest and most expensive. I love guitars that are specialized to do one thing extremely well.

Only a very few Custom Shop Showmasters were sold with the original Floyd Rose locking vibrato.
