Hi

I have this buzz that is silenced if just touching tremolo ever so lightly.

If I tighten tremolo lock screw it also goes away.
I try to adjust as handbook says, tighten until lock cannot move, and then loosen until it locks.

But in a few days the buzz is back.

I have this buzz stop thingy, that increase string pressure and also alter angle that strings fall from bridge and enter tremolo string holder.

Is this buzzstop causing more force in a direction that springs inside cannot handle?

Guitar is from 2001 as I remember reading in neck pocket.

Now I don't reach the point where tremolo don't lock, or I'm afraid to tighten more. Haven't checked inside how it actually looks. I have tightened at least z dozen turns or so.

Is this normal - I thought a floating tremolo would balance itself - not depend on spring returning tremolo, like strata style tremolos.

Greatful for any input.

Thanks.

I solved it with a piece of rubber at the edge where stringholder pivots below in tremolo mechanism.

It seems the different string angle with buzz stop pulls stringholder slightly - enough to buzz. String go parallell to body until buzzstop rather than in an upward angle.
