I have been looking for the electronics diagram for the RR electric guitar (these RRs were made from around 1989-1991 and were labelled Heartfield, Heartfield by Fender or even just Fender). Can anyone be of assistance?
Also looking for the DR (a Heartfield-era bass) electronics diagram.

The basic models (RR6 and RR7) are probably quite basic, however the more advanced models (RR8 and RR9 - http://heartfield-central.com/html/rr9.htm - and RR58 and RR59 - http://heartfield-central.com/html/rr59.htm) are more advanced with extra push buttons and LEDs.

Reason you may not have heard of these guitars is that they weren't standard Fender fare and were rarely seen with the Fender brand. Reason I'd like these diagrams is because my Heartfield Central site doesn't have them yet ;-)

Most of them are basic guitar ( 1 or 2 PU , PU switch , tone , volume ) , any diagram will do the job if you need to fix a guitar.

They had TBX, so does that complicate things?

Yes I collect them. And some of the visitors of the sight might be looking for them.
The guitars were made by Fujigen and they are unable to provide me with the info because they have a confidential clause with regard to OEM guitars (or so they say).

Someone must have bought a DR or RR with electronic diagram. Or someone may have repaired them in the past.

What? You have some of those guitars and you are asking us for their wiring diagram?

You should be giving us the wiring diagram.

I guess if you are incapable, take and post some photos of the electronics and someone could produce a diagram.

I can't help with the RR models, with the complex circuitry they had (didn't some have active distortion circuits built in?) I'm sure you are aware (I've posted on Heartfield forums too) but Fujigen were (possibly still) making the DR (Director) basses under the FGN name:

http://www.fujigen.co.jp/lineup/director.asp

Perhaps they could be the same? Maybe an email to FGN could help. Thing is, they seem to have two websites, from what I can gather. The above link is to the Japanese one, where more models are available. The English site seems to just have the core and Masterfield range.

For what's its worth, they are still making the Élan models too.

I'm a big fan of Heartfield by Fender or Heartfield guitars.. I believe FGN today are the product of the team that once existed when Fender and even before Heartfield was conceived.. I wish there were more of the old Heartfield models in my part of the world, but I have been lucky enough to obtain a Fender Talon V in black. Fujigen may make guitars for other companies like Tokais, Epiphone, Orville, Ibanez etc.. but FGN is their own Fujigen brand :)

It would be cool to start a Heartfield thread, but people here just don't know about them, or just too fixated on the Strat/Tele models.. Story of Heartfield life eh.. The same reason why they didn't succeed back in the 90's :) got to be the best Fender Japan models ever made! :)

@Blertles: I knew about the Director models. These are more complicated, electronics-wise, than the Heartfield DR models.

@orvilleowner: You could try to give it a go with the picture at http://heartfield-central.com/phpBB3/do ... .php?id=15

I own a 2010 MIM Fat Strat, 2008 American Standard Strat, 2012 Black Paisley Tele, 2011 Epiphone Riviera P93 and a 2006 Ibanez AF 75. I am about to pull the trigger on a Heartfield RR9. What a sweet sounding guitar!! It is fun to play, easy to play and sounds fantastic!! I am using the Epiphone as part payment. These Heartfield RR's are going for about $700 in my area, supply is scarce, so you know the deal. Disregard reviews, you have to play this guitar and make up your own mind. Hopefully I will have it before this weekend. I tell you, there are not that many out there, IF you find one, play it, you owe it to yourself, and see what you think, I believe you will love it!! 8)

By the bye, in a recent site update I added RR wiring diagrams to the Heartfield Central site. Check 'em out.
