I was wondering if anyone with a Classic Player Jaguar Special HH switched out their pickups for something better? I know very little about pickups so any suggestions on what to use would help :) Thanks

I don't have the model you speak of but is there something about the pickups you don't like or a particular type of music you like to play? A favorite players tone? Pickup choices are very subjective but if there's a general tone or vibe you're going for there are many here, including myself, who'd be happy to help.

Hi,
I have the guitar you have. I bought it for the scale length and the versatility of the options it has, but I didn't like the enforcer pickups. Far to brittle for me. So I bought the pickups fitted to the Blacktop HH Jaguar from www.allparts.co.uk , had them coil tapped at www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk and now I'm very pleased with the sound.
Warning though. As you know the guitars pickups that you have, are fitted with three adjustment screws per pickup. Where as the blacktop has standard two. So you'll have to drill holes and enlarge the holes to allow for the covers of the blacktop pickups. Because you can no longer adjust the angle of the pickups you'll have to wedge them some how or they'll be at the wrong angle. I've got a good guitar tech guy who set them by using this method. I can't adjust the pickups but they're set just right for me anyway, so I've no need to.
Good luck and make sure, if you can't do them yourself, to get a good tech person.
