I'm pretty new here, and I'm even newer to Fender guitars, being an ES-335 convert.

Last week I bought a 2012 3TS Japanese Special Edition Thinline Jaguar and it's wonderful. However, I'm having a small problem with rattles.

When I strum the guitar unplugged, a series of loose parts jangle alongside. Looking closely at the original Jaguar bridge fitted, the high E and B strings rest not only on the grooved part, but on the back of the bridge itself. The rattling seems to come from the many screws present on the individual string supports, if I hold my finger over them they stop rattling. I also noticed since playing the guitar, two of those screws have protruded above the strings. I can't wait to catch my hand on this little $@!&, mid-rocking out

So my question is, what purpose do they serve and what can/can't I do with them? The guitar has been pretty flawless other than this

Appreciate your response

Arron
