I have a Red Fender Toronado with white stripes. (Japanese Model)

It was my first real guitar that actually fit my playing style. I love everything about it. But I am a perfectionist, and recent injuries it received at a show are bothering me. I have 3 small incisions in the neck, 2 are straight and parrallel, the other scratches are just a big jumbled mess of incisions near where the neck conects to the body where the neck starts to curve. These incisions are a bit of a distraction when I play now. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on how to lessen or mend this minor problem. (please don't suggest sanding it, I am very much against that, since I would probably hurt it more than help it.)

Again, I hate to sound sissy about this, but if it can't be fixed, I'll do what I do about all of the other injuries on my guitars and call them a "battle scar."

If it's bugging you that much, just buy some of the laquer or paint or whatever they put on guitar necks and paint over it. Personally I would keep it, it just looks cool.

My personal opinion is to leave them alone. Battle Scars give a guitar character.
