Free is what that guitar is worth. It is one of the least expensive Squires you can get. Not a really playable guitar. But for FREE, sure, why not.

The Squier Affinty IS a playable guitar. Set up properly, they make a good guitar, student or for semi-pro back up. Problem is, people expect all guitars to play great straight from the box. They don't, even USA models sometimes need a tweak.
Spent a few minutes setting up your Squier Affy and it will give of its best. If you buy from a dealer, he should do it for you.

I recently picked up a used Squire Affinity Strat fo $80 thinking it would be a nice little guitar to have. It was in mint condition. After I set it up properly, and got the action where I wanted it, it never really played that well. Chords played on the first 5 frets were in tune, but did not stay in tune up the neck. The cheap tuning machines didn't keep the guitar in tune well. The inexpensive pick-ups were noisy and would hum when close to a computer or tv due to lack of sheilding. The pick-ups sounded weak and thin. The nut was cut improperly, with uneven string spacing. The output jack crackled and popped. The finish had overspray and runs.
The whole reason I would even mention this is because this is the type of inexpensive guitar that new players expect to work well. When it does not sound good, or stay in tune, they may become frustrated. Too many new guitarist are turned off to the instrument due to a poor choice of guitar. They tire of a poor instrument, and give up the idea of playing guitar all together. I know you can't expect a lot from a bargain axe, but it should at least be playable.
My first electric was a 1978 Fender Musicmaster that my Mom bought for me new. The guitar was solid and playable. It was recommended by the salesman at the music store. I am sooo glad he steared her toward it. It was a little more expensive than some imports, but played really well. I wish I still had it. It made me love the electric guitars. That was 30 years ago. Still at it and still love it!!!
