Hi I just received my 50th ann. Jaguar and I love everything about it compared to MY CIJ Stang. Problem is that I have saddle buzz...a whole lotta it. I am faced with paying a tech to set it up, swapping the saddles for a mustang saddle, or buying a mastery bridge. All options equal some money and some uncertainty. However, the new modern player Jaguars have adjust-o-matic bridges and saddles, plus bonus, they are meant for 9.5 radius which my jag has. Can I just take the saddles meant for a modern player jag and swap? Maybe if I use the thimbles from the current jag saddle those hand turn style adjustos screws will fit right in and do the job?

Any thoughts or anyone tried? Google searches are not finding this specific topic or I have just given up on trying after several hours. Thanks in advance for reading and considering.

I think the thimble sizes are different between the TOM and Vintage bridges.

I have no problems with my 50th Anniversary special using 10's or heavier for the strings. If it is set up properly, it really shouldn't buzz. Of course this depends on string gauge and playing style. It was designed with the music and playing styles of 1961 in mind.
