Hey all,

I was lucky enough to acquire an all-original 1965 Fender Mustang in Daphne Blue. Looks great (I'll try to upload some photos), but it is missing the whammy bar.

I looked on eBay, but I noticed the Japanese reissue bars don't fit the old Mustangs. Any idea on where I could find a vintage Mustang bar? So far, my search is fruitless.

Have you tried consumerrelations@fender.com ?

You could replace the entire unit (save the old one in case you resell it)

Otherwise, you will need to grind and file a Japanese Trem arm.

Good luck,

I have a 64 Mustang, and as well the trem arm was not with it. I just got a cheap one off of ebay for like 8 bucks. it works fine.
