There's no such thing as a MIM Jaguar. Perhaps you meant MIJ?

There was an actual MIM jazzmaster and jaguar on both GuitarCenter.com and MusiciansFriend.com that I saw, and according to ftmolfese, Music123, too. They were slightly modified in that they used an adjust-o-matic bridge, and the tremolo was moved closer in. I think they were higher output pickups than MIJ and MIA also. However, when I checked yesterday they were gone from both sites, so I don't know what's up with that.

I emailed Fender's consumer relations people about it, because it was on Musician's Friend and Guitar Center as well, but now it's gone from everywhere.

What happened was that all of these websites posted the information too early, and so while there is still going to be an MIM Jaguar and Jazzmaster series, it won't be released until a bit later.

I'm still hella annoyed that I don't get to buy one *now*, but at least it is coming out and will be available soonish. :B

(the guy said he's seen and played one, though, and that they are AWESOME, so it'll be worth the wait, you guys!)

This is my first post here but I had to chime in.

I'm the lucky guy from the FDP that managed to buy a MIM Jag HH from Musicians Friend before they stopped selling them. Normally I'll think over a purchase for a week or so, and I almost never impulse buy. But when I first saw the HH Jag, I had to have it. From first seeing it until the online purchase was about a hour and a half. Best impulse buy EVER!

I was pretty worried, however, when everybody stopped selling them before mine had even made it to me. But it showed up Monday of this week and I can't be more pleased with it. Build quality is top notch, it's a dream to play, and the varied sounds I can get from it are incredible. I would have been happy to pay $1000 for it, let alone the $799 I did pay.

Just a great guitar at a decent price. When they officially are released, I may have to sell some other guitars and pick up a Jazzmaster!

The new Jags & Jazz models look terrific. Fender's addressed all the issues I ever had with them (bridge & frets). No excuse not to get one now!
