We all (Stone Sour and Slipknot fans) heard the Jazzmaster Live or on the new SS-Album.
I've heard that there'll be the same models as the Strat-models were and the same neck specs. And of course the HOT EMGs. Will there be also the "1" which he had on tour with him!?

Is that guitar you're drooling around?

That doesn't look like a Jazzmaster to me.

I think it's a jaguar fitted with EMG humbuckers.

To me, it doesn't look like Jaguar or a Jazzmaster. The body looks too thick. The body has square edges like a Telecaster. The output jack is in the wrong location (that, too, looks more like a Telecaster). That pickup switch is not found on Jaguars or Jazzmasters. On the headstock, I don't see that little swirl before the Fender 'F' that you see on Jazzmasters.

It does bear a lot of similarity to the Jim Root Telecaster and Stratocaster. The only thing about this guitar that says Jazzmaster is the outline of the body. If this is what the predicted Jim Root Jazzmaster looks like, it will be a huge deviation from all previous Jazzmasters. I'm skeptical that Fender would do that. I could be wrong. Time will tell.

I can tell you that this will be the final guitar, which will be available and it's called a Jazzmaster.

Regardless of the argument for/against Jazzmaster authenticity, when is this coming out? How do people know that this is even coming out? I saw that people said that he had Instagrammed I but I can't find this post, where is it?

Any other news?

Yeah, it's a Jazzmaster. Jim talked about it on his Rig Rundown he did, IIRC.

Doesn't really matter if it's not 100% authentic. I mean, what's the point anyway? If someone wanted an authentic Jazzmaster, they could just go and buy a VM Jazzmaster or one of the vintage reissues that Fender does.
