My vision is simple I want to rip out on my mustang with a 25.5 scale strat style neck.

I know the body wasn't designed for this and is 24'' scale.
But can I take it to some pro and have him make it work.
I'm thinking all you have to do is move the bridge the right distance backwards accordingly to make it intonate, right? Or are there more complications involved. I couldn't find anything on this topic anywhere and was shocked that not anybody made a discussion about this anywhere, that I could find at least. Don't get me wrong I like the sound of my mustang but the shorter neck just feels weird to me, and makes me feel like I'm playing a little kid's guitar. Any professional opinions would be very much appreciated.

It's, of course, possible.

Some things to consider:
The scale length may affect the sound.
The neck may not fit straight on in the heel cavity.
Moving the bridge(1) -> needs some holes filled, possibly a body refinish.
Moving the bridge(2) -> the pickguard fit is off.
Pickups may not be in their optimal place.
Etc.

If the job is done by a luthier (skilled enough to do a good job), the cost of the mod will easily rise above the price of a used MIM Strat modded with Mustang pickups...

A custom made conversion neck might be an option; ask warmoth.com, usacustomguitars.com etc.

Some Google help

Halleleujah, thanks for the replying.
Yeah, I looked into it and realized if I moved the bridge there would be holes obviously exposed and new routing would be required. Or visit Warmoth start a project from scratch (my wallet just quivered in fear) piant, hardware, routing, shipping... ugh. So which is the lesser of two evils? I know it will sound different, I'm okay with that. How is the pickguard fit affected though? And you've totally mystified me with this conversion neck concept I'll have to look into that. Thank you so much again for the constructive advice. I thought I was going to be attacked b a bunch of nay-sayers.

On the pickguard: there will be a larger gap between the new bridge position and the pickguard, and that may look ghastly (depends of course what kind of Mustang & bridge you have).

I'd say leave the Mustang alone - just an opinion...
Like I said, you have to get a good luthier for the job, and that spells expensive. Cheaper to buy a 25.5" scale guitar and mod the electronics.

Conversion necks are drop-in versions for changing the scale length; the existing bridge placement and neck joint are taken as constants, the neck is then built according to those and the new scale length. You won't find one ready, it would be custom order stuff.

Ohhh I see what you're saying since the bridge is moved the pickups will be in a completely different location relative to the strings creating a totally different sound, touche. I sent an e-mail to warmoth about my plight and he said to buy a custom 24 3/4 conversion neck. He was very short about it because he probably gets asked real goofy oddball questions everyday. I would be totally down with that, but Warmtoth's policy with custom necks is they are non-returnable non refundable. And so I went through the customization proccess, trying to keep the design as simple and minimal as I could, and ended up resulting in a whopping 275 $ neck  , I don't think it even includes tuning machines. Thats more than half of what I payed for the Guitar! And worse I have no one to refer to that has undergone this sort of procedure. There are postings all over the web about people who went from a longer neck to a shorter neck but none the other way around. I don't know why Fender has never tried to design a mustang for big boys not talkin' just about scale length but the body size as well. Just to make it comparable to the two infamous fender guitars. Cause' its such a brilliant design to me. Oh well...
